SunBeltPulse ("we," "us," or "our") operates sunbeltpulse.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. By using the site you agree to this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Newsletter sign-up
When you subscribe to the weekly digest we collect your email address. Providing it is entirely voluntary. We use it only to send the newsletter and transactional emails (e.g. a welcome message). We never sell or rent subscriber lists.
Contact form
When you send us a message through the contact form we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message. We use this only to read and respond to your enquiry.
Analytics
We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics service, to understand how the site is used. Plausible does not use cookies and does not collect or store personal information. It records only aggregate measurements — total page views, referral sources, approximate country or region, and device type — and cannot be used to identify you or follow you across other websites.
Browser storage
Your browser's local storage is used to remember display preferences, such as light or dark mode, and whether you have already subscribed to the newsletter. This information stays on your device and is never transmitted to us.
Advertising
SunBeltPulse does not currently display third-party advertising and does not set advertising cookies. If we introduce advertising in the future, we will update this policy to describe any cookies or tracking involved — and the choices available to you — before that advertising goes live.
2. How We Use Information
- Send the weekly Sun Belt real estate digest to subscribers
- Respond to messages sent through the contact form
- Analyse aggregate site traffic to improve content and user experience
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising, automated decision-making, or profiling.
3. Third-Party Services
Plausible Analytics — Privacy-focused, cookieless analytics. Collects only aggregate, non-identifying usage measurements. See Plausible's Privacy Policy.
Resend — Transactional email provider used to deliver the newsletter. Email addresses are transmitted to Resend solely for delivery purposes. See Resend's Privacy Policy.
FRED (Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis) — Public economic data API. No personal data is transmitted to FRED.
Netlify — Hosting provider. May collect server-side request logs, including IP addresses, for security and reliability. See Netlify's Privacy Policy.
4. Data Retention
Subscriber email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any digest email or by emailing us directly. Unsubscribed addresses are retained in our records solely to prevent accidental re-subscription; they are never emailed again.
5. Children's Privacy
SunBeltPulse is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
6. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to know whether it is sold or shared. SunBeltPulse does not sell or share personal information. To exercise any privacy right, email us at hello@sunbeltpulse.com and we will respond within 30 days.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be noted by updating the effective date at the top. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
